This is the next step in the development of our contract logistics and an important addition to the services we offer to companies importing goods from outside the European Union.

What does a customs warehouse offer?

The customs warehouse procedure allows non-EU goods to be stored under customs supervision before they are released for free circulation within the European Union.

In practice, a business does not have to release the entire consignment for free circulation immediately after importation. Goods may remain in the customs warehouse and then – in line with business needs – be released for free circulation or placed under another appropriate customs procedure.

This gives importers greater flexibility in managing stock, the flow of goods and the customs clearance process.
